photothread n. 1. a sewn reproduction of written or printed material. -v. t. 2. to make a photothread of.

photothreads has been established to bring you australasian designs for cross stitch, tapestry and latch-hooking. currently we feature the work of five award winning artists, the illustrations of bronwyn bancroft, the wildlife watercolours of lee daynes, the photography of lyn randall, the floral watercolours of nancy tichborne and the colonial oils of almar zaadstra.

bronwyn's wonderful illustrations lend themselves perfectly to embroidery adaptation and her use of bright colours make them a joy to stitch. these designs are available as both counted cross stitch and tapestry (needlepoint) charts.

lee's watercolours portray the flora and fauna of australia in great detail. when charting her wonderful images we take great care to match the threads to the colours used in the original painting.
to retain the detail and colour accuracy, these designs are only available as counted cross stitch charts.

lyn's photographs capture the scenery, flora and fauna so typical of australia and a selection of these have been chosen as unique cross stitch designs. several of them have also been charted for counted tapestry (needlepoint).

nancy's beautiful floral watercolours are painted in the traditional way, using colour washes to give them a translucent quality. when charting her images we take great care to match the threads to the colours used in the original painting.
to retain the colour accuracy, these designs are only available as counted cross stitch charts.

almar's traditional oil paintings capture the romance and adventure of a bygone era in rural Australia. a selection of these have been chosen as unique cross stitch designs, several of which will also be available for counted tapestry (needlepoint).
